Your New Favorite Podcast for Indie Publishing Inspiration

Your New Favorite Podcast for Indie Publishing Inspiration

I am so excited to finally share with you a project I have been working on putting together for what feels like forever. I started this concept back in 2019, but the demand of my brand had me putting it on the back burner until I was able to bring it front and center again. So what's changed?

Primarily, I have. We all know what 2020 brought us, and like some others I know, I took time to pour into me. I wanted to grow and learn, and test new things to determine if this idea of mine I had was really something I could pour into. Had I launched this podcast sooner, I'm certain I wouldn't have been able to juggle the demands of recording, editing, designing, and publishing the podcast.

During 2020/2021, with the help of a great friend, I unlocked the creative writing passion that I had buried deep inside my heart. Freeing it felt like I was freeing myself. In 2022, I wrote my first romance book, only to realize, it needs a lot of rework because I missed some crucial steps. Additionally, I noticed as I was writing my main character I would say things that felt more like my story and not her story which prompted me to look deeper inside my heart to determine what was happening.

As a result, I paused my romance book so I could pour into my story - Authentically Anchored - which will be self-published later this year. I have walked it from step to step, recorded everything I was doing (and the mistakes I was making and learning from), so that I could help others avoid costly mistakes on their publishing journey.

So what does my story have to do with upcoming podcast?

The mission of my new podcast is to support indie authors on their publishing journey by providing valuable insights, practical advice, and heartfelt encouragement. Through candid conversations with industry professionals, experienced authors, and aspiring writers, the podcast aims to demystify the indie publishing process, foster a sense of community, and inspire listeners to pursue their creative dreams authentically.

It is my hope that providing a place for indie authors to hear real life experiences, it will help them to help make educated decisions when it comes to publishing their creative works.

I will always strive to create a supportive and inclusive space where writers of all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and inspired to share their stories with the world.
